Commissioning

Commissioning is the process of assuring that all systems and components of a building are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the specification. The Commissioning Module provides the ability to manage Asset Documents. The commissioning process comprises of a set of techniques and procedures to verify, inspect and test operational components of a project.

The Commissioning module may be managed and configured by an authorized user with the proper access control level (ACL).

An Asset is a component or piece of equipment which can a part of a System - that is specified within the project plans. (An asset could also be a system that consists of various individual pieces of equipment). Assets must be specified first in order to perform Commissioning tasks on a project.

Commissioning Views:

Access the Commissioning Module

  1. From the Gate Three Home screen or from within a Project.
  2. Click on the Start Menu.
  3. Click on Field Management
  4. Select Commissioning.


Commissioning Assets view

This is the Default View for the Commissioning Module, and presents the status of Commissioning for Assets.

  1. Ensure you are logged into a project.
  2. Navigate to the Commissioning Module.


Assets view

Within this view, all Assets are present. You may also Import multiple Assets from this view.

  1. Ensure you are logged into a project.
  2. Navigate to the Commissioning Module.
  3. Click on the View Menu.
  4. Select Assets.
