The Project Manager & Superintendent report is a comprehensive document that provides a detailed overview of the progress, activities, and issues related to a construction project over a specific month.

The PM & Super Reports, are to be submitted on a monthly basis by the Project Manager or Superintendent of Record.
Notifications will be automatically sent to Operations Managers and in the Toronto area Project Executive (Sector VP) once a report is completed and submitted.

PM & Super Monthly Report Permissions

During the initial launch, some functionalities, such as Comments and Add signature, will not be available.

Create a New PM & Super Report

The Project Manager and Superintendent of Record on a project will automatically have default access to create the PM & Super Report reports.

  1. Navigate to the Reports & Analytics > Project Reports, click the Create New button to begin a new Project Manager & Super monthly report.

 

  1. Select PM & Super Monthly Report New from the drop down list.

  2. To continue, click the Start button.

A new PM & Super Report Setup pop-up will be displayed.

Fill in the following fields:

Reporting Month: Select the current month for your PM & Super monthly report.

Effective Date: The Effective Date for the PMR is usually the end of the reporting month, and it auto-populates data from various external sources such as Change Management, Cost Management, Fieldwire, RFIs, and more based on the selected effective date.

  1. Click Create Report.

Tooltips

Throughout the PM & Super report, you will find tooltips that offer additional information about particular fields. Hover over the tooltip to display further details.

Edit Report Information

When a the PM & Super report is in draft status, it is possible to modify the date. Note that changing the date will override existing data with the new auto-populated data based on the selected date. To confirm the change, a pop-up will be displayed.

  1. Click, YES, CHANGE DATES.

Project Parties

This section is used to add owner and project team staff contacts. As you type a name, it will auto-populate using the global search and appear in a drop-down list. Although you can add a name on an ad hoc basis if needed, it is recommended to use the global search.

Auto-Populated Data

Auto-populated data is pre-loaded based on effective date. When this data appears, it will be shown on a blue coloured background. You will find the data source, along with its date, displayed in the top right corner of the sub-section.

Override Auto-populated Data

All auto-populated fields are editable. When a value has been overridden, a blue dot will appear next to the modified entry. Hovering over the blue dot, the original value and its data source will be displayed for your reference.

Note: If reports are not selected in the Project Settings of the Project Profile, the sections that enable auto-populated data will not show up in the report(s). Make sure to flag reports in the Project Settings if they will be utilized on the project.

Carry Forward Data

Yellow fields indicate that data has been carried over from the previous report, and you have the option to modify it. The yellow-colored background will disappear once you make changes to the carried-forward data.

Progress Bar and Section Completion Status

A progress bar will appear at the top left corner of the sidebar. It indicates the completion percentage of the report based on the total mandatory fields that have been filled in. When all mandatory fields are entered, the progress bar will reach 100%.

To quickly check the completion status of each section, you can look at the circle indicator next to the sections in the sidebar:

An empty circle indicates the section is 'Incomplete.'
A half circle indicates that the section is 'In Progress.'
A green circle or green checkmark indicates the section is 'Complete.'

Document Navigation

In the PM & Super report, you'll find buttons at the bottom of each section. These buttons let you either go back to the previous section or move forward to the next one.

Empty Fields

If you missed any mandatory fields, a pop-up will appear to complete all the necessary fields before you proceed.

Any mandatory fields that are left blank will be highlighted in red. Once you fill in those fields, the red highlighting will disappear.

Optional fields are indicated with OPTIONAL label on it.

Auto-Save and Session Expiration

PM & Super monthly report auto-saves data instantly when a user is editing a draft PMR.

If there is no activity in the form for a period of six hours, the system will become idle and the session will expire. To continue working, simply refresh the page. No progress will be lost, as the form is automatically saved in real time as a draft.

Submit PM & Super Monthly Report

When all the mandatory fields are filled in, the 'Submit' button will become clickable, allowing you to submit the form.

Toronto Area - After a form is completed and submitted, a notification will be automatically sent to the Toronto area Project Executive (Sector VP) for review.

  1. Click Submit.

  2. Click Got it.

 

All other areas - When you click the Submit button, a pop-up message will appear confirming that your report has been successfully submitted. It will be considered complete, and you won't be able to make any modifications. Review carefully before submitting.

  1. Click Submit.

  2. Click Close.

 

After submitting the form, no other modifications are allowed.

Project Reports Main View

Project reports at different stages can be found in the main view. Completed and draft reports can an be viewed or deleted from the Project reports landing page.

PDF Download

Anyone with view access to the report can download a PDF directly from the report page.

PDF Download: Choose Report Sections for Download

The PDF download feature allows users to choose specific sections of the report for downloading.

Note: The PDF will exclude project report attachments, site picture thumbnails, and the overall comments section if it is empty.

 

There are a number of enhancements in development for the future, which include integrating digital signature functionality.
