Import Safety Issues

Safety Issues are construction non-conformance items and/ or issues found during the review and/ or investigation process on a project.  All project quality action items (deficiencies) can be managed and tracked by regular reporting, identification, and tracking of non-conformance items from initial inspection of deficiency to resolution. The creation of quality action items (deficiencies) is performed at the project level.

Gate Three allows you to import multiple safety issues at any point in the Project at once, then assign and submit through workflow.

This is configurable by any user that has the appropriate Access Control Level (ACL).

Prerequisites:

Import Safety Issues

  1. Ensure you are logged into a project.
  2. Navigate to the Quality & Safety module.
  3. Click on the New Menu.
  4. Select Import Issues.
    The Import Issues screen is displayed.


5. Click on the here link to download a sample import CSV template.
Open the CSV sample in Excel, some sample rows will be available.


6. Fill out:

    • Title: Text editable field. Maximum of 200 characters.
    • Priority: Drop down menu selection of a predefined list.
      Options include: Critical, High, Medium, Low.
    • Category: Drop down menu selection can be modified in the Safety Settings.
      This field must adhere to the system field as it is system validated.
    • Type: Drop down menu selection can be modified in the Safety Settings.
      This field must adhere to the system field as it is system validated.
    • Action Item Date: Date format must be yyyy-mm-dd.
    • Due Date: Date format must be yyyy-mm-dd.
    • Description: Text editable field.
    • Breakdown: Drop down menu selection can be modified in the Safety Settings.
    • Location Detail: Text editable field.
    • Associated Report: Automatically populated consecutive Gate Three number.
      This field must adhere to the system field as it is system validated.

Prior to saving the .CSV file ensure the sample rows are removed. Then, Save the spreadsheet as a .csv file.



7. Click on the Specify Target File button and select the .csv file from your computer. The Current Source will populate with the file name.
8. Select the Date Format YYYY-MM-DD from the drop down menu selection.
9. Click on the Import Now button. 


10. A confirmation message is displayed. 
The draft safety issue documents are displayed and available in the All Safety Issues view.


To Assign and Submit the Safety Issues from the All Safety Issues View:

11. Filter the view with the Show Draft items Only.
12. Click on the check boxes of the draft safety issues you wish to assign to the same person.
13. Click Assign Multiple.
14. Select the workflow and the assignee from the contact list. Workflow is configurable in the Safety Settings.

15. Click Apply to assign the safety issue document to an assignee. The safety issue can be submitted later.
16. Click Submit to assign and submit the safety issue document to an assignee.
A notification is sent to the assignee and the safety issue document status updates to Under Review.
